Movin Melodies was the debut album from Andre "ATB" Tanneberger. This LP was written, arranged, produced and mastered by ATB himself in ATB Studio 3, with the exception of Killer.
The majority of Movin' Melodies doesn't reflect the sound of the singles taken from this album (those being 9PM (Till I Come), Don't Stop! and Killer). Instead, the album contains many quiet and melodic tracks which do reflect the type of music that ATB preferred to listen to at the time.
Movin' Melodies wasn't well received in the UK and as a result it peaked at number 34 in the Official UK Album Charts; not a great result, but not a bad one for a dance album at the time.
Ministry of Sound (Data Recordings) dropped ATB soon after Movin' Melodies was released, the media attention for Movin' Melodies can't have been as great as MOS had once hoped. The same cannot have been said for other labels who supported future ATB releases in other countries (namely Kontor Records Germany and Radikal Records USA).
Kontor Records re-released Movin' Melodies in 2004 at the reduced price of €9.99. The re-release was around the time when ATB's popularity increased in Germany (Ecstasy/ No Silence era).
It's worth noting that the international version of Movin' Melodies came with slightly different tracklistings, along with slightly different versions of 9PM, Don't Stop and Killer. The international version included a track called Too Much Rain and the lyrics are available right here: ATB - Too Much Rain Lyrics

9PM (Till I Come) was the debut single from ATB and was released in 1998, although the UK received 9PM in 1999. Two main radio versions were used for 9PM, along with two videos; the UK Version was stripped down to 02:43 minutes, whilst the original radio edit was produced to 03:16 minutes. The vocals for 9PM were provided by Yolanda Rivera.
ATB created the sound of 9PM, the 'Pitch Bend' by accidentally while waiting for some friends. The pitch bend sound became ATB's trademark sound for a few albums and Andre has never been able to shake this off. 9PM was used in several bootlegs, most famously of all ATB Vs Everything But The Girl - Missing (Till I Come), which ATB used in his first mix compilation; The DJ (In The Mix). ATB also covered Missing on his 2009 album Future Memories.
9PM (Till I Come) reached #1 in the Official UK Charts, remained there for two weeks and sold c850,000 copies (in the UK alone) - it was the 5th biggest selling single of 1999 in the UK. 9PM also reached #1 in the Irish charts and, as with the UK release, stayed there for two weeks.
The Remixes:Don't Stop! was the second release from Movin' Melodies and reached #3 in the Official UK Singles charts in October 1999. Yolanda Rivera provided the vocal for Don't Stop!, as with 9PM (Till I Come).
The Remixes:Killer was the third, and final release, from Movin' Melodies. It was a cover version of the Adamski/ Seal hit of 1990 and it was also the very first full length vocal track from ATB. Drew Williams provided vocals for the ATB version of Killer - although, we have NO idea who he is - do you?
Killer reached #4 in the Official UK Singles Chart
